In collaboration with the Army Research Office’s PIA partner, the Virginia Tech Applied Research corporation, the Army STTR program will host a series of virtual webinars. These events aim to educate prospective STTR applicants on Army needs and the Army STTR program and provide networking opportunities for small businesses and researchers to meet potential partners.
Industry Day
The Army STTR program will host a virtual “Industry Day”. This event is intended to facilitate small businesses and researchers meeting to potentially partner on STTR proposals. The event will include plenary speakers, Q&A sessions with topic authors, and networking opportunities. Event schedule and registration details are forthcoming!
Army STTR Success Stories Webinar
Join us in a discussion of some recent STTR success stories. Hear from our panelists about their pathways to success, from STTR Phase I to commercialized products. Learn about some of the resources that STTR can open up for you on your path to success and have a chance to ask questions to help you on your journey from research to product.

Looking for clarification or advice on your application? Want to learn everything you can before the deadline? Ask Army Contracting and Army STTR leadership questions where you can get the details you need to polish your application to the fullest.
With the BAA closing June 12th at noon, this is a great chance to field feedback on all those contracting questions you want answered by Army STTR. The webinar will solely be focused on contracting Q&A and as such networking will be limited.

These short 45 minute webinars will provide you with topic summaries, inspiration for ways you can potentially find partners, and a short chance to network with small businesses and research institutions who share a mutual interest in key topics. Army STTR Research Institution Engagement Webinar
Join us for an overview of the upcoming 2024 Army STTR solicitation and have a chance to network with fellow researchers about strategies and methods to get the most out of your STTR. We’ll be presenting an overview of the Army STTR program, sharing ideas for getting the most out of the program, offering advice on finding the right partner, and relaying feedback collected from your peers. At the end of the event, there will be an open live networking session where you can connect and hear from fellow Research Institution representatives about their STTR experience.

Army STTR Networking 201: Tips on how to find an STTR partner
Join us for an overview of the upcoming 2024 Army STTR solicitation and learn about strategies for finding the right Research Institution partner for your Small Business.
We will go over considerations for partnerships, resources you can use to locate Research Institutions, and advice on networking and outreach.
After a brief Q&A, there will be an open live networking session, where small business partners can have an early opportunity to connect and discover common research goals.
This event is especially catered to Small Businesses, but is open to all who wish to attend.
Army STTR 101: Guidance for your First Application
Join us for an overview of the upcoming 2024 Army STTR solicitation and have a chance to network with fellow researchers about strategies and methods to get the most out of your STTR. We’ll be presenting an overview of the Army STTR program, advice for finding the right partner, and results of VT-ARC’s interviews and outreach to successful STTR awardees and state level support programs for STTR/SBIR. Representatives from both VT-ARC and the Army STTR program will be providing some advice for RI’s and Small Businesses on preliminary steps you can begin taking to prepare ahead of the 24.B soliciation period. At the end of the event, there will be an open live networking session, where research institutions and small business partners have an early opportunity to connect and discover common research goals.
