In collaboration with the Army Research Office’s PIA partner, the Virginia Tech Applied Research corporation, the Army STTR program will host a series of virtual webinars. These events aim to educate prospective STTR applicants on Army needs and the Army STTR program and provide networking opportunities for small businesses and researchers to meet potential partners.
Industry Day
The Army STTR program will host a virtual “Industry Day”. This event is intended to facilitate small businesses and researchers meeting to potentially partner on STTR proposals. The event will include plenary speakers, Q&A sessions with topic authors, and networking opportunities. Event schedule and registration details are forthcoming!

Information and Networking Webinar: Army Modernization Plan
Hear from Dr. Imee Smith, Program Manager for Army STTR, as she highlights the Army research modernization plans.

Army Innovation Ecosystem
This webinar will provide opportunities for STTR applicants, researchers, and small businesses to learn about the Army’s innovation ecosystem.

Webinar 4 dives into the proposal and contracting process. This event will provide opportunities for STTR applicants to ask questions directly of STTR program experts, both in moderated Q&A and one-on-one formats, regarding STTR processes. Participants can also network in real-time with small businesses, researchers, and industry leaders as they seek potential partners.

This first event will provide networking opportunities for small businesses and researchers to meet potential partners. There will also be speakers on a few of the Army’s Essential Research Programs so that prospective STTR applicants can learn more about Army needs!
Dr. Brandon Perelman, lead for the Human-Autonomy Teaming Essential Research Program, will take us through a discussion on the integration of humans and AI as he gives insight on how we can better enable teams to survive and function in complex environments.
Dr. Imee Smith, Program Manager for the Army STTR program, will provide an overview of the STTR process.
